Office of Sponsored Programs

The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP), formerly the Office of Grants and Research Agreements, provides support to the faculty and staff of UTHSC (including components at the UT Graduate School of Medicine in Knoxville and the Chattanooga unit of the College of Medicine) in their efforts to obtain external funding for research and other sponsored projects, while ensuring compliance with UT policy, sponsor policy and applicable law. Specifically, the office reviews, negotiates, and approves all proposals for grants and research agreement; reviews and provides guidance on sponsor and University policy and procedures related to sponsored project proposals; provides information and training on grant and research contract processes; facilitates non-financial closeouts and invention reporting; and provides and/or obtains institutional signatures on grants and research agreements.
